Student Arrival and Dismissal:
Please note that all students, regardless of age/grade level, are to be entering and exiting the building to start and end the day through the doors located under the South Portico. Dropping students off at the West entrance creates an unsafe environment for students as well as drivers.
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it” Proverbs 22:6
School is more than just learning “reading, writing, and arithmetic.” It is learning how to interact with the world around us. Children grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually throughout the year. In addition, at each grade level, children begin to enter new stages of development that can be influenced by many factors. We are blessed at Immanuel Lutheran Christian Academy to be able to walk alongside families in “training up a child in the way he should go.” Your children are our children, and everything we do focuses on helping your child be all that God has created him/her to be.
Basketball Season is Coming!
Elementary
We will soon be organizing our teams for the upcoming elementary season. We will have at least four teams, depending on how many kids sign up. The divisions are set up by grade. Games are played on Saturdays; coaches will schedule practices when the gym is available. The season starts after Christmas, but we will organize our teams in the next few weeks to get started. There is a $50 charge for each child. The school provides uniforms. Parent participation is very important to help with home games, keeping score, taking the gate, etc. We are also seeking someone to coach our 4-5 grade girls’ team.
Here is the schedule for games:
January 5 & 6 – scrimmage dates
January 11 – 13 – regular season begins
March 2 – regular season ends
March 4 – 9 – post-season tournament
If your child is interested in being part of the team, please let me know
by emailing me at scamp@icaba.org.
Middle School
We are preparing to start the 2023 -24 basketball season for our middle school teams. Two new coaches will be leading the teams this year. Mr. Stephen Stanley will coach the boys, and Mr. Tony Noonkester will coach the girls’ team. Both of these men have a strong background in coaching and are excited about the upcoming season. We will schedule a day and time for everyone to come out and meet the coaches, discuss practice schedules, and pick up the necessary medical and liability forms.
If your child is interested in being part of the team, please let me know
by emailing me at scamp@icaba.org.
