PTL Meeting:  We welcome and encourage parent involvement at ILCA.  Joining the PTL is a great way to learn about opportunities to serve our school community and a great way to join with like-minded parents.  Please make plans to join the first meeting scheduled for Thursday, September 14, at 6:00pm in Multi-Purpose Room (MPR) A/B.

Stranger Danger PE Field Trip for K-4 will be announced soon.  You will receive details regarding this field trip in the weeks to come.  The date on the ILCA calendar, of next Wednesday, is incorrect.

IFAA starts next week.  If you wish to sign your child up for a class, please register here.

Comfort Dogs visit scheduled for Monday, Sep 11, 2023 may be delayed as the dogs have recently deployed to Arkansas.

Pick-up/Drop off Reminders:  All students in grades K-5 are to be picked up at the South doors of the property.  If you also have a middle school student, you can park in the lot on the South side of the elementary school and both can exit the building through the South doors.  Please notify the office if you are expecting your middle school/high school child to escort your younger out of the building.

If you are unable to pick your child up AND unable to get your child’s card to the pickup person, please contact the office via phone.  This will help make car pick up run smoothly.

COVID Return:  Based on current recommendations, students/faculty with positive COVID tests may return to class five days from the onset of symptoms.  They should also have been fever and symptom free for 24 hours.

Attendance:  Students learn what they see.  This truth affects not only their beliefs, and speech, but also their behaviors.  We all want our children to grow up to be productive adults.  Promptness is one of the habits that are required to be successful in our vocations.  Mr. Rogers is famous for saying, “To be early is to be on-time, to be on-time is to be late, and to be late is to be …..”.  Your student is considered tardy if they are not in their seats and ready to learn at 8:00a.m..  Please help set your child up for success by ensuring that promptness is a habit.
