A Letter from our Leaders,

Fall is in the air and the first quarter of school ends today.  Thank you to all the teachers, parents, and volunteers who make learning at ILCA so fun.  We could not achieve our mission of “preparing servant-leaders to shape the world through Christ’s example” without each of you.

Parent teacher conferences were well attended.  If you did not have a chance to attend, please feel free to reach out to your child’s teacher via email to address any concerns.  A huge thank you to the PTL for providing wonderful sustenance, and a few extra pounds, during our long conference days.

Report Cards:  Will be available beginning Oct 25, 2023.

Opportunity Scholarship Fund

Are you a small business owner or know one?  Are you looking for all the tax credit options for your personal tax strategies?  If either of these apply to you, we encourage you to take advantage of the savings provided by the Opportunity Scholarship Fund.  This may be a lucrative option for your personal or business taxes and provides a great blessing for the students of Immanuel Lutheran Christian Academy.

Eligibility Policy Update

Approved by ILCA Board of Trustees on 10/10/23 is effective immediately and supersedes any previous Eligibility Statements.

Revised Statement Regarding Eligibility

At Immanuel Lutheran Christian Academy, we are striving for excellence and hold academics in high esteem.  Students are expected to maintain a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.25 or higher and grades of a D or better in all subjects. Grades checks will be completed each Tuesday, beginning with the third week of each semester.  Students whose GPA falls below 2.25 and/or have an F in any subject shall be considered ineligible until the next grade check (the following week, regardless of grade improvement).  Ineligible

until the next grade check (the following week, regardless of grade improvement).  Ineligible students will not be able to participate in games, team warm-ups, or practices during the period of ineligibility.  Students may attend games wearing spirit wear and will sit on or behind the bench with their team, but they will not be allowed to travel with the team. After three (3) incidents of ineligibility, the student shall be removed from the team for the remainder of the season. No student or parent shall pressure an ILCA Instructor with regard to posted grade or grading process.  Should such pressure be reported, the student shall immediately be removed from the team for the remainder of the season.

The Ocular Melanoma t-shirt is being sold to show moral and financial support for our much-loved ILC Youth Director, Mrs. Carrie Ann Swaim.  If you are able, please purchase a t-shirt.  All proceeds from the sales go directly to Mrs. Swaim.

We love you Mrs. Swaim!

Solar Eclipse

This Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, an annular solar eclipse will cross North, Central, and South America. It will be visible in parts of the United States, Mexico, and many countries in South and Central America. For Tulsa, we will have approximately 70% totality.

That is if cloud cover does not obscure our view.

Parents, please remind your child(ren) to use protective solar glasses when viewing the eclipse. If you don’t have a pair of glasses, YouTube and Pinterest have tons of at-home, easy-to-create viewing boxes.  Click HERE.
