Angel Prayer Tree

NHS has created an angel tree in the Narthex.

You can write a prayer request on an angel and
hang it on the tree for someone to take and pray over
OR
take an angel with a prayer request on it that you can pray for.

Applications Open for OSAI 2024

Before you head home for the holidays, it’s the perfect time to remind your students about auditions for the 2024 Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute at Quartz Mountain (OSAI)!

  • OSAI is an intensive 2-week residential academy that provides professional training to artistically advanced Oklahoma high school students, including graduating seniors, in the visual, literary, and performing arts. All students who are accepted into OSAI attend on a full scholarship, and our goal is to make sure that every eligible student is aware of this unique program.
  • Winter break is the perfect time for students to start their application and prepare themselves for the audition process. This year, all disciplines will submit their audition materials online. The audition requirements can be found by visiting this page, selecting a discipline, and downloading the corresponding Applicant Guide.
  • Applications are open now and students have until February 12, 2024 at 11:59 P.M. to upload their audition materials. Students may audition for up to three (3) disciplines.
  • If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call us at 405.605.7500 or email oai@oaiquartz.org.

Are you ready to show the school your talent!?!

We will have our annual talent show during Lutheran Schools Week in January. While it is a month and a half off, if you are participating, please start practicing NOW and let Mr. Risner know what you plan on doing by completing this form – click HERE.   Or you can scan the QR Code below!

Students Are Invited to Write Letters to Santa!

From Dec. 1 through Dec. 24, for every letter sent to Santa that’s dropped off in Macy’s (or in our school Santa box in the narthex), they will donate $2 to Make-A-Wish to help children fighting critical illnesses’ life-changing wishes come true. And the more that they donate locally, the more it stays locally. Mrs. Detter will take the letters to the Macy’s box on the last day of school in December.
