State Basketball Trip!

For the second time in school history and following an exciting win last night, our high school boys basketball team has advanced to the Elite Eight (second round) of the state tournament! It is an exciting time for our athletes and our student body, and we want to share the exhilaration with our entire Immanuel family!
The high school boys will play their next game of the tournament tomorrow in Fort Smith, Arkansas at Union Christian School at 5:00 PM. Our plan is to pack our school bus with as many students as possible and take a group of spirit-filled, loud and excited students with us to cheer our boys to another victory! With your consent, we will load the bus and depart from Immanuel at 1:50 PM tomorrow (2-17-22). All information regarding travel time, return time, cost and supervision is in the attached document. If you are willing to allow your child to attend, please sign and complete the attached consent form and return it to either the office or my classroom today or tomorrow by 12:00 PM. If you are not able to go but would like to watch, you can follow us on the livestream tomorrow by logging into Facebook and heading to our “Immanuel Crusader Athletics” page. Please pack and send a dinner for your child to eat on the return home. Let’s #PackTheBus!

If your child attends the game tomorrow, they will receive a free Immanuel State Basketball Tournament shirt to wear to the game. The shirts will be black as we are going with a “black-out” theme. Your child must be in dress code for the school day, but when they are dismissed, they are encouraged to dress in as much black as possible for the game! Face paints, crazy hair wigs and anything else they can find is encouraged for game time!
God’s blessings to you and Go CRU!
