Kindergarten Summer Letter to Parents
My name is Cindy Carr, and I am the Kindergarten teacher at ILCA. I hope you are enjoying your summer! I am so excited for the new school year and meeting all of you. I just wanted to send a quick note as you are starting to see the back-to-school aisles in stores:
*Backpacks-your child will need one for transporting their school work, jacket/coat, lunchbox, projects, and water bottle back and forth to school. I would suggest getting a regular-sized backpack. The preschool-sized backpacks will be too small to fit everything.
*School supply list-we don’t have one! ILCA supplies most daily essentials, such as pencils, folders, glue sticks, crayons, markers, and paper.
*Uniforms-when you are shopping for uniforms, please make sure you follow our uniform policy, which is on the school website, or you can get a hard copy from the school office. When colder weather arrives, our room tends to be on the cooler side, so please ensure your child has a uniform sweater or sweatshirt they can wear in the building, if needed. Additionally, we have a “uniform closet” at ILCA, which contains a vast selection of gently used uniforms that parents have donated as their students outgrow them. You’re welcome to browse and take from our selection! Just stop by the office and they can direct you there.
I will send more information as we get closer to our first day of school.
