RE: Breakfast/Lunch Ordering

Thank you to all those who have taken the opportunity to order lunches using our new online ordering system. We appreciate our “early adopters” because we have been able to do some initial review and troubleshooting. We thank you for your patience as we have navigated the nuances of the system. Here is what we have learned and how we are preparing to proceed with lunch ordering going forward.

FAQ’s:

1. When I pre-order breakfast/lunches am I required to pay at the time of order?
   1. Yes. If you have funds in your prepay lunch account, you will see a drop down option that allows you to pay from those funds. If you do not have funds available, you will be asked to pay at the time of purchase.
2. Can I order breakfast?
   1. Yes. We now have the full range of options for each day listed for purchase.
3. Which lunch do I order?
   1. Our options are based on grade level. Please be sure to select the lunch which aligns with your child’s grade level.
   2. On Fridays you will order either cheese pizza and a drink or pepperoni pizza and a drink. If your child wants more than one serving, you will need to order an extra entree.
4. Tell me about the salad bar option?
   1. The salad bar is new for 26-27. It is only available to our teachers and students in 6-12th grade.
   2. It is only available on Thursday and Friday.
   3. There is an option to buy a regular meal with one trip (small) salad or a one trip (large) entree salad bar.
5. Will I ever see activity in my student’s prepay lunch account?
   1. Yes. All lunch accounts will be reconciled at the end of the week. Adjustments may be made for incorrect lunch orders (for example a parent purchases a K-4 lunch for a 6th grade student), absences and other.

Next Steps:

1. Beginning Monday, August 31st, students will not be allowed to purchase an extra entree as they come through the line.
2. Beginning Monday, September 14th, all breakfasts/lunches will be pre-ordered by parents. Teachers will no longer take lunch count. Students, whose parents have not pre-ordered, will be expected to bring lunch from home. Students will be allowed to call home if they arrive at school without their lunch.
