Meet Highlights
Jr High All Star Meet
Meg outpaced many dozens of ladies, finishing in 5th place out of a field of 138 runners in the 2A division of the Junior High All-Star Meet. Meg raced to an incredible time of 9:37.91 seconds for her 1.5 mile event–only two seconds away from 3rd place and less than a half-of-a-second from 4th place. Despite facing a stiff wind as she sped around the Chickasha Sports Complex, Meg’s time nearly matched what she accomplished at OBU two weeks ago, which means her time would have been even faster than her 9:32 time at OBU if not for the roaring wind of western Oklahoma. When compared to the 3A and 4A races that occurred later that day (5A and 6A run today), Meg outran the entire 3A field of 102 young ladies and all but six of the 87 gals running the 4A race. Thus, Meg is in the Top 3% of the fastest MS young ladies in Oklahoma.
Well done, Meg!
