Club Purpose, Activities, and Expectations
ASL - American Sign Language
- Purpose: During this time, we learn the basic signs needed for conversations in ASL. Participants can be in fifth through twelfth grades. They may also perform in Fine Arts performances.
- Activities: American Sign Language Club meets on Tuesday mornings from 7:15 to 7:50 in Mrs. McCrate's room 102.
Comedy Club
- Purpose: ILCA’s new Comedy Club is set to kick off in January, promising an exciting opportunity for students to explore their comedic talents and have a great time. This club is designed for all levels (3rd-12th grades), whether you're an aspiring comedian or just someone who loves a good laugh. Members will have the chance to write and perform their own material, participate in improv games, and learn from a guest comedian. It's a perfect way to unwind after a long school day, meet new friends, and develop confidence. Get ready to bring your humor and creativity to the stage when we start in January!
- Activities: We meet this Fall on Mondays at 3:10 p.m. in Ms. Detter's room. If you have any questions, please contact adetter@icaba.org.
Chess
- Purpose: The Chess Club is open to students from Kindergarten through High School. We have 6 more slots available. This is an ideal opportunity to learn how to strategize and socialize simultaneously. We would love to have you join us in January.
- Activities: We meet every Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. in Ms. Sparks' room. If you have any questions, please contact tsparks@icaba.org.
Robotics
- Purpose: The purpose of the robotics club is for students to learn how to code and write commands for robots through play. By programming and controlling robots, students will step into the world of science, acquiring knowledge and skills that will be useful and applicable beyond the classroom.
- Activities: Robotics will start on the first Wednesday in November after school. It is for children, upper elementary through HS, excluding MS/HS students taking Robotics as an elective. Contact Joshua Risner at jrisner@icaba.org for more information.
Soccer Shots
- Purpose: Soccer Shots in Tulsa, OK, offers unique and engaging youth soccer programs for kids ages 2-8. We positively impact children's lives on and off the field through our best-in-class coaching, communication, and curriculum. Experience the Soccer Shots Difference - Enroll your child today!
- Activities: Every Tuesday after school, no special equipment is needed. This non-competitive intro to soccer program focuses on character development and basic fundamentals.
