Club Purpose, Activities, and Expectations
ASL - American Sign Language
- Purpose: During this time, we learn the basic signs needed for conversations in ASL. Participants can be in fifth through twelfth grades. They may also perform in Fine Arts performances.
- Activities: American Sign Language Club meets on Tuesday mornings from 7:15 to 7:50 in Mrs. McCrate's room 102.
Comedy Club
- Purpose: ILCA’s new Comedy Club is set to kick off in January, promising an exciting opportunity for students to explore their comedic talents and have a great time. This club is designed for all levels (3rd-12th grades), whether you're an aspiring comedian or just someone who loves a good laugh. Members will have the chance to write and perform their own material, participate in improv games, and learn from a guest comedian. It's a perfect way to unwind after a long school day, meet new friends, and develop confidence. Get ready to bring your humor and creativity to the stage when we start in January!
- Activities: We meet in the Spring on Mondays at 3:15 p.m. in Ms. Detter's room. If you have any questions, please contact adetter@icaba.org. Comedy Club will meet on Mondays in January—13th and 27th and February—3rd, 10th, and 24th. Sign up now for a spot! Five classes/one show (snacks included). $10.00 per student charged to FACTS.
Chess
- Purpose: Chess Club is open to students from Kindergarten through High School. We have 6 more slots available. This is a great time to learn how to strategize and socialize at the same time. We would love to have you join us in January.
- Activities: We meet every Thursday morning at 7:30am in Ms.Sparks' room. If you have any questions, please contact tsparks@icaba.org or hjonesicaba.org. Chess Club is currently taking a break in the month of December!
eGaming/Game Design
- Purpose: This is a chance for students to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively. Students will need to bring their Nintendo Switches from home and/or use Chromebooks.
- Activities: It will also be a great time for the kids to decompress, play games with their friends, and compete in leagues with other schools.
Soccer Shots
- Purpose: Soccer Shots in Tulsa, OK offers unique and engaging youth soccer programs for kids ages 2-8. We positively impact children's lives on and off the field through our best-in-class coaching, communication, and curriculum. Experience the Soccer Shots Difference - Enroll your child today!
