Dear Families,
We hope you are all having a wonderful summer! Teachers are gearing up for the start of school.
School Calendar(s) 2020-21
The first day of school is Wednesday, August 18th. You can find a school calendar on our website at www.ilcanews.org or pick one up in the office.
Meet the teacher
Monday August 16th: 6:00-8:00pm
All teachers will be in their classrooms to meet families and answer questions.
Kindergarten will have a meeting with parents at 6:00 in the Kindergarten classroom. All other grades will be come and go as you are available.
5-12 will pick up schedules, find classes, meet teachers, get lockers, and High School will checkout Chromebooks.

School Start / End Times
School starts at 8am for all students K-12. Students will be considered tardy after 8am and will need to obtain a pass from the front office.
K – 4th dismissal will begin at 3pm.
5th – 12th dismissal will begin at 3:10pm.
Drop-off/Pick-up and Before/After Care
–Parent drop-off line begins at the South (canopy doors). Cars enter the property from the far North entrance (closest to Taco Bell), pull around the building to the South canopy entrance. Student(s) exits the car and checks temperature. Parents wait until given the OK to leave by staff.
–Regular drop off starts at 7:40am and ends at 8:00 am at the South doors. Students may be dropped off in the car line under the canopy. You may also park in the area next to drop off and walk your child to the door.
–*Students will not be permitted to enter their classrooms till 7:50am.
–Before care is offered from 7:00 to 7:50am. If you wish to take advantage of before care you may enter through the main West doors.
–Drop off and pick up will both occur for K-12 in the south loop. If you would like to get out of your car please park and walk over.
–Any students K -12 left in the building after 3:25 will be checked into aftercare.
–Aftercare will be held in the annex. You must enter the building and check your child out of aftercare. Aftercare ends at 6pm.
Door Code for Before Care and After Care – see email for code.
The Parent Code will work on the main doors from 7:00-8:00am and in the annex from 3:00-6:00 pm.
Morning and Afternoon Extended Day Care Costs
Extended Care is available before and after school from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., for students K – 12 grades. Morning and afternoon extended care is $5.00/hour/student billed $1.25 at the beginning of each quarter hour. This account is funded by parents through FACTS
—Part-time Extended Care requires a prepaid account of $100. Parents will receive a notice when account falls below $50.
—Full-time Extended Care requires a prepaid account of $200. Parents will receive a notice when the account falls below $100.
Spirit Wear Fridays
All Students K-12 may wear spirit wear shirts and jeans or uniform bottoms every Friday. No holes or athletic wear
Uniform Options
Click HERE for uniform options. You can also visit our donated clothing closet in the Annex – you may find clothing there that will fit your child(ren).
School Supplies
The school provides basic classroom supplies. Grades 3-4 need to provide a 1-2 inch binder and grades 5-12 need to provide a 2-3 inch binder on the first day of school. 5-12 need to bring headphones or earbuds for Chromebook use.
Chromebooks
High School Chromebook check out will take place during Meet the Teacher. Please look for an email that will include the Chromebook policy and insurance plan.
