Club Purpose, Activities, and Expectations
Bible Quiz Club
- Purpose: The goal of the Bible Quiz team is for our children to memorize the Word of God, understand its teaching, and hold fast to their faith throughout their lives. It is a fun way of encouraging our children to want to learn and speak back important facts of Christian Faith.
- Activities: ILCA BIble Quiz team will have its first meeting next Monday, September 11 at 3:15 pm in multipurpose room A. We will run until 3:45 pm. The goal of the Bible Quiz team is for our children to memorize the Word of God, understand its teaching, and hold fast to their faith throughout their lives. It is a fun way of encouraging our children to want to learn and speak back important facts of Christian Faith. For those of you who don't know me, I have four boys here at Immanuel. Two of them have been doing Bible Quiz team with Immanuel church this past year. I can honestly say, it has been a blast for our boys and for us as parents. I look forward to having this additional opportunity to nurture our students' Christian faith.
eGaming/Game Design
- Purpose: This will be a chance for students to think creativity, reason systematically, and work collaboratively. This will be a great time for the kids to decompress, play games, and learn about different programs that can be used in designing and building games. They will be exposed to photo editing, audio design, and 2D/3D design. Students will have the opportunity to attend an In-person and/or live streaming Computer Simulation and Gaming Conference in April at TU.
- Activities: Starting out, I plan on having a three-week rotation. The first Friday being a gaming day. The second Friday being an introduction to some software that they will be using while building games. On the third Friday will be playing with the software to get some familiarization with it.
Model Train Club
- Purpose: A train club that loves to play with trains and wants to improve their lives by following Jesus Christ.
- Activities: Each Member will get their own HO scale train (locomotive, rolling stock, tracks, power source, etc.) to manage. We will take field trips to train shows and work on our individual layouts, and a large club layout. We will meet together to talk, experience, and play with TRAINS!
- -You will learn how to care for your train, repair your train, and add to your train. We will give away prizes at each meeting. FOOD will be served, and a good time will be had by all.
- -Check out Good Shepherd Lutheran's train club HERE.
