**7th Grade Math**

Prerequisite: 6th grade math

Textbook/Resources: Algebra with Pizzazz, Units from Lindsay Perro, Amazing Mathematics, Math in Demand, and Mathmaker, Oklahoma Standards/Oklahoma Framework Grade Level 6th/7th

This course covers the following topics:

Rationals, Multiply and Divide integers, Expressions, Equations, and Inequalities- Order of Operations, linear equations, properties, Proportional Relationships- Slope, Unit Rates, Ratios, Proportionality- Geometric figures, Diameter, Circumference, Translations on Coordinate Grids, Two and Three Dimensional Shapes- Volume, Area, and Perimeter, and Probability

Prerequisite: 7th grade math

This foundational course begins with a review of basic operations of rational numbers and then provides a foundation for the study of algebra. Concepts studied include Rational numbers including fractions, decimals, and integers, the Real number System, Pythagorean Theorem, proportions, rate/slope, similar figures, percent, lines, angles, triangles, perimeter, area, volume, probability, statistics, equations, inequalities, and an introduction to polynomials.

This foundational course is a study of the language of algebra in which the student learns to interpret and solve problems using algebraic terms and concepts. Concepts taught include operations with rational numbers, solving and graphing equations/inequalities, functions, polynomials, factoring, solving and graphing systems of equations/inequalities, radical and rational expressions, quadratic equations, and statistics.
