Middle School Subjects (click to get more information):

Pre-Advanced Placement (Pre-AP)

At the middle school level, Pre-Advanced Placement (Pre-AP) classes give 7th and 8th grade students the opportunities to practice (at the appropriate level) skills that will enable them to be successful in Advanced Placement classes in high school.  Pre-AP classes lay the groundwork and foundation for success, not only in the AP program at the high school level, but also ultimately in college course-work itself.

Successful Pre-AP students are typically task-oriented, proficient readers who are able to set priorities with regard to time and responsibilities.  Parental support also plays a key role in the success of these students.

ILCA Middle School Pre-AP classes are not closed to any student.  Any student who is willing to make the necessary sacrifices and commit to the time and work necessary to meet the requirements of the class is welcome to enroll.  However, students who do not meet the required standards for the classes will be placed in the regular class for that subject.

At ILCA Middle School, Pre-AP classes are offered in Language Arts and Science.
